Avon varsity boys soccer lost to Lakewood 3 to 2 tonight. Fred Troupe scored twice assisted by Daniel Minotti both times. Jack Poyle was the Goal Keeper with 7 saves.

Eagles Soccer Tie with Bay

Avon varsity boys soccer team tied with Bay Village tonight. Niko Telidis (Avon) scored off a PK 8 minutes in to the game. Avon GK was Jack Poyle with 6 saves. The JV team lost 1 - 0.

Avon's overall record is now 5 -2 -3 and WSC record is 2 - 0 - 2.

Eagles Soccer Shuts out Berea 5-0

September 15, 2012

The varsity soccer team beat Berea last night 5 - 0. The scoring started in the 2nd minute of the game with Fred Troupe scoring assisted by Zach Gill. The rest of the scores were as follows:

Niko Telidis assisted by Michael Smigel.

Fred Troupe assisted by Michael Smigel.

Niko Telidis assisted by Fred Troupe.

Niko Telidis assisted by Will Sharer.

Jack Poyle got the shut out with 9 saves.

Record is now 5-2-2.

Avon varsity boys socccer team played to a tie against Brunswick (3-3). Avon scores were as follows: Daniel Minotti scored assisted by Niko Telidis. Will Sharer scored assisted by Michael Smigel. Fred Troupe scored unassisted. Avon GK - Jack Poyle with 7 saves.

JV team lost 2 - 1. Zayd Albakri scored for the JV team.

Eagles Soccer Defeats River

September 12, 2012

Avon boys varsity soccer team defeated Rocky River 2 - 1. Fredrik Troupe scored in the 20th minute with Tony Telidis assisting. Troupe scored again in the 24th minute with Niko Telidis assisting. River scored in the 36th minute. Jack Poyle was Avon's GK with 6 saves. Avon's record is now 4-2-1.

Midfielder Tony Telidis headed a shot off a corner kick out of the goal with 1 minute left in the game to save the win for Avon!

Avon Eagles Varsity Boys soccer team defeated North Olmsted 2 - 0. Fredrik Troupe scored on a free kick 30 yards out 5:37 minutes into the game. Daniel Minotti scored at 37 minutes in the game. Jack Poyle got the shut out behind a strong defense. Avon's record is now 3-2-1. JV team lost 3 - 1.
